Caught Lying!

A lot of things in life are uncertain.

The economy, for one, is purportedly responsible for various cases of indigestion and insomnia.

The weather, too, is rather unpredictable.

But I'll tell you one thing with confidence and certainty - this dude lies fluently.

On 27 May 2008, The Star carried this report by Syed Hamid Albar concerning claims by Waythamoorthy Ponnusamy, exiled HINDRAF leader, that his passport was revoked.

This is what Syed Hamid Albar said:

“If the passport is still active, it means that the Government has never made any cancellation to his travel document.

“Hence, his allegation that we have revoked his passport is baseless,” Syed Hamid said in a statement.

He added that Waythamoorthy was free to travel internationally as his passport was still valid.

We now know that is a blatant lie.

Based on this document, the Malaysian authorities notified the British High Commission that they had cancelled Waythamoothy's passport on 14 March 2008.

More than 2 months prior to that news report.

Malaysiakini has the story HERE.

In our glorious nation, being caught inflagrant delicto, committing fraud, embezzling public funds, practicising corruption and outright lying are prerequisites qualifications for those aspiring to the highest of public offices.

So, it's very naughty of you to highlight what passes for muster in the corridors of power.

By now you should be able to tell when a politician is lying; you hardly need Hindraf for that. You see, when they lie, their lips move!

Crankster, the link you provided for the document is actually my online file storage link for my blog http://sactyr.blogspot.com; ...and yes I go by the name "sactyr" at MT. :D

But fear not, the more people download that document, the better.

Back to the story, it has got to the point where they can lie to us without blinking an eye, and yet some of us continue to believe them. Sigh. Hopefully with more documents such as this people would stop and say, "Hold on, now that's a lie.."

I do believe if we were to make a show like Mythbusters, i.e. BN liebusters, we could make helluva profit! :D

You know, the reason why some people go botak is really interesting.

Those days, elder folk always say that who ever that go lying will go BOTAK. Looks like some one got the curse!

(In adalah cerita semata-mata. Tidak kene mengena dengan sesiapa!) :) :D

Thanks to MarGeeMar I only found out a few days ago that Hamid Albar's father was the late unlamented Syed Jaafar Albar (whom Tunku named as one of the five key planners of the May 13 sandiwara - along with Razak, Harun Idris, Mahathir and I can't remember the 5th name, might have been Ghazali Shafie). In 1965 Syed Jaafar Albar tried to get Lee Kuan Yew arrested under the ISA. His plan was that the Malay army would then move in and put Singapore under martial law for opposing the concept of Ketuanan Melayu. Tunku vetoed the idea and told LKY to take Singapore out of Malaysia instead. Now you see where this Potatohead Gestapoman is coming from. Very bad seed!

I like DPP's, '... when they lie, their lips move!' OMG that is precious!

No matter how I twist and turn this in my mind, I can't understand the whys of this.

But the fact of his lying? It is so biasa with this government lah. I am so tired of it.

That this guy lies is a fact
That this guy has no clue on what's going on is a fact

Since he works for the government; the question begs:
Is this guy a true-blue representative of our government?

So does this mean we have a lying, clueless, human-rights-defying government?

I am only asking this aloud as I would trust that the road leads to Rome if all the signs tells me so!

Or Antares - does this mean Botak ain't responsible for his actions as he is genetically predisposed?

Hi Naga, yes I know it's yours, I read your blog too. :)

Gobloking, I think we need a major overhaul of government.
