The Fools Behind Malaysia Airlines' Downfall

Most of you have probably heard of how Khazanah Nasional has taken Malaysia Airlines private.

They're calling it an overhaul, but you and I know that it's essentially a bailout - using taxpayer funds.

As usual.

I have stated in the past, that a major aspect of Malaysia Airlines loss is due to crony involvement.

The cronyism was well on its way even back in the 1990s, when the Loony Tun and his prodigy Daim Zainuddin were piloting this country into destruction.

Greed In Malaysia And America

Unlike what most of Malaysia thinks, this is old news.

Najib Razak's step-son had bought this apartment at least a year ago. Obviously, like his dear mother, he had saved up all his life and bought it. That family ought to give financial tips on how to save money.

Or maybe not.

They could certainly give tips on how to spend it.

Interestingly, I suspect the news got out because of the film that was released in the US on Christmas Day. "The Wolf of Wall Street".

Yes, it was produced by Najib's step-son's company.

Interestingly, it bears a striking resemblance to the issue at hand. Of stealing. Of spending money that doesn't belong to you.

Because that is precisely what this movie glorifies, and exactly what the main character in this movie does. Jordan Belfort is his name and his greed and lack of integrity is part of the reason why America was brought down to its knees.

This is a very interesting open letter to the director and main star of the film by Christina, the daughter of one of Jordan Belfort's accomplices/associates named Tom Prousalis.

It is very apt and describes what greed could do to men, be they American or Malaysian.

... Lynas is being stubbornly hailed as a necessity in terms of job opportunities etc, in spite of the danger it poses.

Because Dr M's son Mokhzani holds a significant share in Lynas!

PETALING JAYA: Former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has an ulterior motive for supporting the Lynas rare earth project, claimed an NGO.

“Mahathir’s eldest son Mokhzani Mahathir, the CEO of Kencana Petroleum has a large stake in the Lynas rare earth refinery project, said the Save Malaysia Stop Lynas (SMSL).

Its spokesperson, Steven Hang, said: “Kencana Torsco Sdn Bhd is a subsidiary of Kencana Petroleum that won lucrative contracts from Lynas Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

“Kencana Torsco is involved the design, fabrication, lining, supply, installation, and commissioning of carbon steel and stainless steel tanks worth RM9.1 million for the project.”

Hang made this claims based on facts obtained from Bloomberg Businessweek, a US-based business website portal.

Renouncing The Ampu Culture

If you were a normal, self-respecting individual, you'd cringe just looking at this dingbat smooching up Najib's hand.

I'm fully aware that kissing the hand of an elder, or someone respected is very much part of the Malay culture.

Believe me, folks, that's not what I'm bashing.

It's the ampu culture that I just can't stand. Or to give the disease its full name, ampu bodek.

If you're Malaysian, you'll know perfectly well what I'm referring to.

If you aren't (and I'm aware that a significant number of my readership is actually foreign - though I really can't for the life of me figure out how you wandered in here), it could probably be loosely translated using a variety of names.

For instance, ar$e-licking, brown-nosing and a$$-kissing being some of the more notable ones. Judging by the leet encryption necessary, I doubt these terms are very net-filter-friendly. :)

All cultures find that practice distasteful. Unfortunately, in Malaysia, it's become the norm.

This is why we have no sense of meritocracy. And yet we cry foul when things don't work out our way.

You see, even if we get rid of our current bunch of despots, they will merely be replaced with a new set. This time, probably more cunning and wily.

We need people with integrity. People who don't find their niche from knowing the right person or playing up to the right crowd.

We need people who have the tenacity to be impartial and the courage to demand accountability from someone who has violated a stand - even if that person happens to be a friend or mutual acquaintance.

Most importantly, we need our law enforcement and judicial systems to be independent of external influence, especially that of political parties.

Till then, we will never recover from this hole we've dug for ourselves.

Why We Lost Pedra Branca

I'm not done with the issue of Pedra Branca yet.

In fact, I'm livid with rage at the moment.

Do you know why we freaking lost our white rock with the lighthouse on it??

Because the moron representing the nation over the sovereignity of this rock was a BLOOMING FRESH GRADUATE!!!

And of all universities, from UiTM!!! I mean, come on, this is the university you apply for if you really couldn't get a spot anywhere else. The most inferior, bumiputera-only university in the country.

Which bunch of deranged, demented imbeciles would send a kid who graduated from UiTM in September 2005 out to save our rock??!!!

Those who're trying to kiss his father's ass, that's who. You know who his father is?? Our one and only Attorney General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail.

The same twit who considers the Hindraf people as more of a menace and threat than those who blew up Altantuya with contraband C4 explosives.

The dingbat who charges 26 people with the attempted murder of one scrawny little policeman who received a few stitches to the head.

If the father is so stupid, can you imagine what his budak hingusan of a son must be like?? His resume must have had pandai main internet as top priority to garner his coveted spot, representing the nation.

Yep. And the internet must have brought forward the blogger's plagiarised photo of Pedra Branca against the mainland of Johor. Our biggest bit of evidence was a plagiarised photo.

Dear Lord. How much more asinine could they get?

So was this putting our best foot forward in order to win our rock (and more importantly, the waters around it) back?? My ass it was!!!

Now you know why this country is so screwed. The nepotism displayed goes beyond the lowest levels of mediocrity.
